At the morning service on 28th January, 2018, Dr Hyung Shin Park from Namseoul University in South Korea, here seen with our minister, Revd Scott McKenna, and our assistant minister, Revd Laurene Lafontaine, presented Mayfield Salisbury with copies of the 1882 facsimile editions of the Gospel of St Luke and the complete New Testament which were the first translations made in Korean, the language of the ordinary people of Korea. They were made by Revd Dr John Ross (1842-1915) who had strong connections with Mayfield Salisbury as he worshipped here in his latter years and was an elder here.
